Does my website need to be PCI DSS compliant?

Giving to charities, communities and third sector organisations is made easy with online payments – but it’s now incredibly important for websites to be PCI DSS compliant.

Online payment fraud is costing retailers around £535 million each year. The fraudsters collect sensitive customer data and target online merchants by posing as legitimate customers or donors.

Credit card companies have now introduced the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), to help put an end to this fraud. PCI compliance is especially important to charity and not for profit supporters, members or customers – as PCI security now gives donors the reassurance that a website is safe to make donations on.

The eShop and ePayment solutions offered by Cardsave Community are all PCI DSS compliant – so that you can be sure that every transaction you process via your website is 100% secure.
